Report

The First Softball Intervarsity Tournament was held in University College Dublin from 24th to 25th February 2001. Trinity College Dublin won the group stage however University College Cork defeated them in the Final. In all seven rounds were played in the first leg, including semi-finals and final. Two teams from the University of Limerick and hosts UCD also took part. The Second Leg in the University of Limerick a month later was postponed, to be rescheduled a month later.
