Report

For the 11th season of the Leinster Softball League in 2000, the Premier Division was split into a Premier 1 & Premier 2 Divisions, with the top eight from 1999 taking their place among the Elite. Marlay Martyrs won the League that year, finishing on a 12-2 record, 3 wins ahead of their nearest rivals Dodder and Batpak [2].

In 2002 Marlay Martyrs and Oddsox Green finished tied on 12-2 each, with Marlay Martyrs winning the Playoff 10-9 [3][4][5]

The following year Dodder Dynamoes ran away with the title – they finished with just one loss from 14 [6].

The League was re-organised after the 2003 season. The Premier 1 became just the Premier and each Division below that was named Divisions 1, 2 etc.
