Petanque is the French version of Bowling, and is the sport played at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. It can be played in Singles, Doubles or Triples.

There are three Petanque Clubs in Ireland: One in Belfast, Cork and Bushy Park (Terenure, Dublin)

DIST Trophy 2008-2012

The Dublin Indoor Softball Tournament was held in ALSAA (Aer Lingus Sports and Athletic Association) in Dublin, every November from 2008-2014.

Limerick teams alternated as winners with Dublin teams for the first four years, the Dragons and Originals being the Limerick winners, and Dublin Bay Packers and Marlay Softball Club the winners from the capital. From then on it was dominated by Scotland’s Hairy Coos, who won it three times in a row from 2012-2014.
