Home Venue

History

The West Clare Dolphins played their first season in Baseball Ireland’s B League in 2010 winning two of their 10 games and narrowly missing out on the Playoffs to Cavan Comets. Despite the increase in games played to 15 in 2011 and then 18 in 2013 they could only win one game each year. In 2014 they had arguably their best ever season, winning 4 of their 16 games although only on paper because the victories were forfeit wins against Dublin Tigers B (twice) and Dublin Spartans B (twice). The won on the field at Cavan Comets 24-4 on the last day of the season in 2011, and again in 2012 (By a score of 12-11) defeated Greystones Mariners B 10-9 in 2013. Both victories in their last season in 2016 were also forfeit victories versus Dublin Black Sox B. They were based in the scenic resort town of Kilrush, Co. Clare.
